Worked for only 1 month in last financial year. State tax was deducted from salary but Federal tax was not deducted from salary. So which way I can pay it now, & which are the forms I’ve to fill for tax returns?

Fill out a form 1040EZ if you qualify to use it, or a form 1040A, unless you have income that requires a 1040. You will calculate your tax on the tax return, and if you owe anything, will send it in with your return. If you efile you’ll get a voucher with your identifying info printed on it to send with your payment.

if you only worked for a month in the past yr, chances are you didnt make enough to even have a taxable liability, unless you were really good at what you did and made more then…lets say 8,000 in a month..hummm

If you only had one month’s worth of income in 2007 it’s likely that you have no Federal income tax liability. Since no tax was withheld, you don’t need to file if your income from wages was less than $8,750 if your filing status is Single.

When you file a 1040 or 1040EZ, simply fill in the number from the tax table. Done!

You file the same way regardless of whether you had tax withheld or not.
