Nothing wrong with not eating animals. God gave us mountains to climp…but we don’t have to jump off of them!

God created us as vegetarians but as sin prevailed in the garden of Eden, greater requirements for nutrition also became necessary. Finally, after the Great Flood of Noah’s time when all vegetation was temporarily wiped out, we became meat eaters and not before then. The term “meat” in early Genesis refers to the meaty part of fruit’s, nuts and grains; that is to say, “not the shell or the stalk or the peel, but the meat of it.”
When meat was introduced, God instructed Noah to bring two of every animal on to the Ark right? Wrong, he was instructed to bring two of every unclean animal and seven of every clean animal on board with him. You see, way back in Genisis 7:2, God gives all man kind instruction on clean and unclean meat. It was not instruction just for the Jews in the Mosaic Law.
To sum up, you’re absolutely right about vegetarianism. That is God’s original plan for you, stick with it. I hope I’ve given you some good ammunition to defend your case.

Jesus freed us from the law! Believe me, you are NOT going against God’s ways by not eating meat! Eating meat is okay as is foregoing animal products. Here is what Jesus has to say about your question:
Matthew 15:17-20
“Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach , and is eliminated? 18 “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. 19 “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders. 20 “These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”
