Just wanting to know if it’s true that you have to be pretty, attractive to be a successful lawyer. I wanted to be a lawyer for some time now and have interned for a law office and had the chance to be second chair in a criminal trial.

Anyways, my mentor, which is a practicing attorney told me that you need to be a GREAT ACTOR, LOOK GOOD, and be able to TELL GREAT STORIES. Is this true? I’ve asked her what about writing legal arguments, she then told me written legal arguments are always submitted prior to trial. If the written argument is sound, the judge wold give a summary judgment.

In short. Is this true. All you need is to pass the bar, learn to act, and be attractive to win a case?
What I come to realized is that Judges are people too. They have all the same feelings that we humans do. They are like women. They FEEL but can’t reveal what they FEEL.

If you give them a chance, legal argument that is sound for them to agree with you, you are home safe. Justice is truly just when the scale is truly blind.

I understand that I have to work with him but the feeling is mutual. He’s pretty assertive, and acts as if he’s my superior. The president had to tell him twice to write down the questions before he actually did.

And then as we left, he said "You’re free to go." I’m thinking "I was free to go two hours ago, I don’t need your approval."

I may be overreactive, but I don’t want to be working with someone in a hostile environment.

I am from Seattle, WA. Although this is not my case, I will just pretend it is. I got into a 3 car accident. The first car is a Hummer, he suddenly stopped on the freeway which caused 2 cars to hit him from behind. The car in the middle and the last car (which is me, last car). From my point of view, I feel as if I did not cause the accident, I just could not stop in time but then again, there is a law isn’t there (?) that whoever hits another car from the back is always at fault (?).

Anyways, because people are so mean and greedy, the Hummer, which did not have a single dent while mines and the other car that is totaled in the front, we were not injured. Yet, the passenger in the Hummer is complaining about injuries and has file a law suit against us (the two cars that hitted the Hummer).

1. How much does it cost to hire an attorney for a car accident?
2. Whose fault is it?
3. Any advice for me in the trial?

I just hope the person in the Hummer is really injured for if I lose the case, at least the money is going to help heal him. If not, I hope there is God that will punish those who do bad things.
